Steven Ray Design

I’ve been an award-winning writer, copy editor, designer and journalist for more than 18 years, helping newspapers in four states provide the news of the day to their readers. I’ve been responsible for stories both small — a dog birthday party — and large, including 9/11 and the ongoing war in Iraq. That has given me an unusual breadth of design experience: My pages are by turns somber or celebratory, goofy or grave, exuberant or restrained, depending on events that day.

I’ve written and sold both fiction and nonfiction articles, taught seminars on design and served as an in-house mentor for other designers.

For relaxation I camp, scuba dive, remodel houses and spend time with my wife, two children and countless pets.
